New HomeCare Specialist Welcomes Shropshire MP

Pearl Care Professionals Ltd was delighted to host a visit from Mr Daniel Kawczynski MP last Friday, the 2nd Dec 2022.

The MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham took some time from his busy schedule and visited the company’s offices to see how it was progressing. The company is a new provider is offering a professional home care service solely to Shropshire county.

Located in the Rural Enterprise Centre in the Battlefield Enterprise Park of Shrewsbury, Pearl Care Professionals Ltd offers nurse-led care to people’s homes and it is also a specialist in the areas of End-of-Life and Palliative Care for adults and children.

The company has been working to establish contact with local health providers such as hospices and hospitals and GP services and especially the discharge units of the health services.

In addition, the company has been actively seeking to be a recognised provider in the framework of the health commissioners and the local council - and it’s already having a fantastic impact.

It has been highlighted that there is a crisis in the Shropshire Hospitals and Local Hospices where there an extreme difficulty in discharging patients back to the community as there are not enough care providers in place. This leads to the admission of people who need medical attention being adversely affected.

Mr Kawczynski MP is proactive in championing the improvement in the county’s social care and adult health especially as Shropshire has a disproportionately high number of its population that is ageing and; the rate is increasing. Mr Kawczynski offered to help companies like Pearl Care Professionals as it is highly consistent with his long-held view that there is always more that can be done to ease the crisis suffered by the health service. He has promised to assist so that the company and others like it are able to contribute to improving the health situation in Shrewsbury and Atcham and the wider Shropshire county without unnecessary bureaucratic delays.

Pearl Care Professionals is helping to create jobs in the local county and is keen to increase its recruitment efforts in the coming weeks. Already the company is building its capacity to be able to handle care work that can span 24 hours and over 7 days.

After a short tour of the premises and meeting the team, Mr Kawczynski MP offered encouraging words of support and wished the team well and success in the venture. “You are a brilliant team and if I could clone and replicate your entrepreneurial spirit it would be for the betterment of the community and the whole country.”

Rory Santiago FCCA, Managing Director added: “We are delighted by the visit from Mr Kawczynski MP. We are keen to be able to contribute to the community; know that the health service needs help from all who can and welcome the support the MP has for teams like us who have taken the plunge and taken direct action to support the health and social service in the county.

“This visit is having a such positive impact on our team. We are just eager to get going and with Mr Kawczynski’s support, we hope to be of use to the council and local health service. We are also currently building a team of professionals and looking for those who love what they do and would like to work alongside us to care for those especially those nearing the end of their life and who welcome care that gives them the greatest dignity, comfort, respect and commitment.”

Catherine Santiago RN, the Registered Manager and Director said: “We are so delighted to announce our capability in this area and would love to be able to showcase what we can do.”
